the drowned
country drowning in it's own tears
it drinks the people, a nation of fears
hometown calling me to the river
to make me cry, to make me shiver
houses bleeding down in the streets
in that honk kong bed, scarlet sheets
families speaking in the underwold
they talk a lot, but doesn't say a word
people laughing about that rumour
something big, i don't see no humour
neighborhoods roaming in the dark
roaring a lot, killing the spark
woman pushing the secrets away
they wanna go, but she wants to stay
big men crying, they are so scared
the urban jungle left them scarred
what is wrong, the mud in your face?
you are alone, you ain't got no place
